Democracy, it is defined as 'By the people' 'Of the People' and 'FOR the people', but that was past. If I go looking for it's definition today, I will have to come back empty handed. In the aftermath of the 26/11 terror attacks, the word 'democracy' has become meaningless, at least for me. The political establishment is rotten today, the only agenda these guys have is to fight for votes and not for the safety of common man who gives them the power.
I never thought I will ever write on this but sadly I have to.
The only job our politicians have is to address rallies, play blame games, play with the sentiments of people. It's high time, all the junta is demanding accountability from you....Mr Minister.
What have you done for the society? Spent crores of rupees on your Z security or on your useless rallies, your foreign trips? These are the questions every Indian is asking.
Do you have any answers?
Look at Raj Thakrey......he has no business in dividing people in Maharashtra just for the sake of his dirty political ambitions. The jawans, the commandos.....were they just Maharashtrians? the answer is a loud NO.
These brave hearts never bothered for their lives, never asked the community of people before saving them but just did their duty without any differentiation.
Stop dividing India, Mr Minister.
Just hear what the two gentleman Mr Deshmukh's and R.R. Patil has to say in their press conference post completion of the 3 operations at Taj, Oberoi and Nariamn House. Deshmukh came to address the press but it was a pity to see that he didn't know the facts, what was he doing all these days? (Reminder: He is the CM of a state where a national tragedy has occurred).
Coming on to Mr R.R. Patil......When asked if the terror attacks was a result of complete failure of his government.
Guys.....just have a look what he had to say......'Aise bade bade sheharon mein Ek aad hadsa to ho hi jata hai ( meaning, In such big cities small incidents happen), pathetic......was he there rehearsing dialogues of DDLJ. If this is JUST an incident for you, then you should be ashamed of yourself Mr Minister.
There was this gentleman of the government who came on a popular News channel for a discussion. His comments infuriated me further.
According to him, 'the army people could not be provided modern weapons because the priorities are different at different times.' Well......what can I say.
What is your priority Mr Minister?
Is it not your priority to keep your defense system updated?
What do you expect? Do you want the army and police to move around just with an old fashioned World War I time 303 rifle, an ineffective bullet proof jacket?
Are these things not on your priority list?
You are answerable to all the Indians Mr Minister.
Then came the turn of Narenda Modi. As a habit, he came to the terror site and announced a cash compensation of 1 crore rupee and pointed fingers on the PM's speech to the nation.
What was he doing, announcing rewards when just a few days back he was throwing allegations at the very same ATS chief? I guess i should know the answer, it was again a vote game.
The bereaved wife of Mr Hemant Karkare declined to accept the money and gave him a befitting reply. I am hurt, deeply hurt so are most of the Indians. A retrospection is called for immediately. It's time for you politicians to act and restore some of your self respect otherwise it will be too late and you will have to hear more such lines.
Mr Terrorist : I am alive. What more can you do?
Mr Politician : I am alive despite you.
So, Get Going ......Mr Minister, Enough is Enough !
