Democracy, it is defined as 'By the people' 'Of the People' and 'FOR the people', but that was past. If I go looking for it's definition today, I will have to come back empty handed. In the aftermath of the 26/11 terror attacks, the word 'democracy' has become meaningless, at least for me. The political establishment is rotten today, the only agenda these guys have is to fight for votes and not for the safety of common man who gives them the power.
I never thought I will ever write on this but sadly I have to.
The only job our politicians have is to address rallies, play blame games, play with the sentiments of people. It's high time, all the junta is demanding accountability from you....Mr Minister.
What have you done for the society? Spent crores of rupees on your Z security or on your useless rallies, your foreign trips? These are the questions every Indian is asking.
Do you have any answers?
Look at Raj Thakrey......he has no business in dividing people in Maharashtra just for the sake of his dirty political ambitions. The jawans, the commandos.....were they just Maharashtrians? the answer is a loud NO.
These brave hearts never bothered for their lives, never asked the community of people before saving them but just did their duty without any differentiation.
Stop dividing India, Mr Minister.
Just hear what the two gentleman Mr Deshmukh's and R.R. Patil has to say in their press conference post completion of the 3 operations at Taj, Oberoi and Nariamn House. Deshmukh came to address the press but it was a pity to see that he didn't know the facts, what was he doing all these days? (Reminder: He is the CM of a state where a national tragedy has occurred).
Coming on to Mr R.R. Patil......When asked if the terror attacks was a result of complete failure of his government.
Guys.....just have a look what he had to say......'Aise bade bade sheharon mein Ek aad hadsa to ho hi jata hai ( meaning, In such big cities small incidents happen), pathetic......was he there rehearsing dialogues of DDLJ. If this is JUST an incident for you, then you should be ashamed of yourself Mr Minister.
There was this gentleman of the government who came on a popular News channel for a discussion. His comments infuriated me further.
According to him, 'the army people could not be provided modern weapons because the priorities are different at different times.' Well......what can I say.
What is your priority Mr Minister?
Is it not your priority to keep your defense system updated?
What do you expect? Do you want the army and police to move around just with an old fashioned World War I time 303 rifle, an ineffective bullet proof jacket?
Are these things not on your priority list?
You are answerable to all the Indians Mr Minister.
Then came the turn of Narenda Modi. As a habit, he came to the terror site and announced a cash compensation of 1 crore rupee and pointed fingers on the PM's speech to the nation.
What was he doing, announcing rewards when just a few days back he was throwing allegations at the very same ATS chief? I guess i should know the answer, it was again a vote game.
The bereaved wife of Mr Hemant Karkare declined to accept the money and gave him a befitting reply. I am hurt, deeply hurt so are most of the Indians. A retrospection is called for immediately. It's time for you politicians to act and restore some of your self respect otherwise it will be too late and you will have to hear more such lines.
Mr Terrorist : I am alive. What more can you do?
Mr Politician : I am alive despite you.
So, Get Going ......Mr Minister, Enough is Enough !

about love ............
I have found almost everything written ever about love to be true. Shakespeare said "Journey end in lovers meeting.".....Ohh what an extraordinary thought. Personally, I have not experienced anything remotely close to that......but i'm more than willing to believe Shakespeare had.
I think about love more than anyone really should. I'm constantly amazed by it's sheer power to alter and define our lives. It was Shakespeare who also said , "Love is blind". Now, that is something I know to be true.
For some, quite inexplicably......love fades, for others love is simply lost. But then, of course love can also be found even if just for a night. And then there's another kind of love. the cruelest kind, the one that almost kills it's victims...it's called unrequited Love. Of that I am expert :))
Most love stories are about people who fall in love with each other. But what about the rest of them?
What about our stories? Those of us who fall in love alone.....
We are the victims of the one-sided affair.
We are the cursed of the loved ones.
We are the unloved ones. The walking wounded. The handicapped without the advantage of a great parking space. Yes, you are looking at one such individual. And I have willingly loved that man for years. The absolute worst years of my life. The worst Christmas, the worst birthdays, New Year's Eves brought in by tears and Valium. Those years I've been in love have been the darkest days of my life .............all because I am cursed by being in love with a person who does not ......and will not love me back.

Those who know me personally will be amazed to hear these words from me......but lemme tell u this is not exactly my story. Most of you wud easily identify with these thoughts.....it might be an exact replica for some of u, for others it may be a small reflection of their life.....m sure of it. This is just one side of 'Being in Love', there is another side to it and we will touch that sometime later.

Getting Started..........
Just the other day, I was surfing through various News Channels (phwee….there are quite a few), one of them had this breaking News.....'Aamir Khan called Shahrukh a dog’. I felt a bit angry and agitated (that proved m still a SRK fan) hence decided to follow the whole story. It was about the blog written by Aamir where he has mentioned about his dog Shahrukh, licking his legs and how much he enjoyed that gesture of his dog.
Apart from the fact that media creates so much hype over trivial issues, the thought that instantly crossed my mind was, how people have so much time to write such small incidents that is just irrelevant to the society and to them as well…..how can people just bring their personal self in front of the entire world? What pleasure they get in doing so? Is it just for popularity or is there anything more to it?....basically, why ppl write blogs?
Few months passed and there I was reading a blog of certain Mr X. Somehow I felt really nice as there was some meaningful stuff written unlike some of the earlier versions( come on guys/gals... don’t use such complicated words that reading blogs does not remain fun but some kind of preparation of GRE ;))……Here I realized what blogging actually is. It is a way to express yourself on anything and everything. You don’t need an audience, this expression is just for yourself ..to help you know yourself a touch better. It is about being myself, what I feel on certain issues…..writing on something which is not even an issue, just a small thought, a not so important incident….It’s just about writing thoughts and ideas which you may or may not share with others.
And the best part is that at times you can write things which is just your imagination and not truth and parallely things which are truth and not your imagination …a perfect blend of imagination and reality, no one will ever be able to know which is what.. (n this way u can get away with murder ;)...thank God i m not a celeb)….. All this can also be written in a diary but then we belong to the 21st century and don’t want ourselves to be locked in a diary, keys of which may be lost at any point. So here I am trying my hands at blogging……..n honestly after writing my first one I can definitely say here is a journey which I have started and wish to continue….ppl who want to join are most welcome.
Thanks a lot Mr X :)
God Bless All !!
